Frequently Asked Questions

  • No, you don’t need a referral to book an ADHD assessment. You can book directly at any time.
If you already have a GP or psychiatrist involved, you’re welcome to share their details and we can provide them with a copy of the report if helpful.

  • ADHD assessments are not currently eligible for Medicare rebates in Australia, whether completed by a psychologist or psychiatrist.
The assessment fee covers a comprehensive clinical interview, validated ADHD questionnaires, review of any past reports, and a detailed written report with clear recommendations.

  • Yes. We use a structured, evidence-based assessment approach that psychiatrists recognise and accept.
While each psychiatrist conducts their own clinical interview, a comprehensive psychological report helps streamline the process and reduces the number of additional appointments needed.
We can also recommend psychiatrists who regularly review and accept psychologist assessments.

  • Yes. ADHD commonly overlaps with anxiety, depression, and autism.
During the assessment, we screen for these conditions and include recommendations if further assessment or treatment is needed.
If a separate ASD assessment is required, we can guide you on the next steps.

  • If you're unsure, that’s completely normal.
The first session gives us space to explore your concerns in detail and determine whether an ADHD assessment is appropriate or whether the difficulties might be better explained by something else, such as anxiety, stress, or adjustment.
We won’t take you down an assessment pathway that isn’t clinically indicated.

  • Cancellations with less than 24 hours’ notice will incur a $130 late cancellation fee.

No-shows will be charged $260, as this time has been reserved especially for you.
