Our Child ADHD Assessment Process

(Suitable for children aged 6+, adolescents, and school-aged young people)

① Parent and Child Clinical Interview

  • 60-minute telehealth session with a Clinical Psychologist

  • Explore your child’s developmental history, behaviour at home and school, social/emotional patterns, strengths, and current concerns

  • Discuss early milestones, routines, organisation, learning, and emotional regulation

  • Understand how symptoms present across different settings (home, school, activities)

This session provides a comprehensive understanding of your child before any questionnaires or observations are completed.

② ADHD Testing & Behavioural Questionnaires

  • Evidence-based tools that assess attention, distractibility, hyperactivity, impulsivity, and emotional/behavioural patterns

  • Completed by:

    • A parent or caregiver

    • Your child’s teacher (past or current), where possible

    • Sometimes the child, depending on age

These multi-informant measures help build a clear picture of how behaviours show up across environments and over time , which is essential for accurate diagnosis.

Where needed, we may also include additional screening tools for ASD or other neurodevelopmental concerns to help guide appropriate referrals and support. (If a full ASD assessment is required beyond the ADHD scope, we will discuss onward referral.)
